A NORDIC DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH ...

I bought this bad boy topiary at a garage sale, just a few weeks ago ... 10.00
loaded up with fake stems of red and green berries that were sun drenched and faded ...
duh ... once again, I failed to take before pictures ...

I'm Bad ...

mmmm ... wasn't that the last post?

the base was mustard gold, chipped and icky ...
I saw potential ...

hear me out on this ...
can you just imagine ...
red and green faded berries, icky wood, and a twig center, screaming to be released
 FROM THE FAUX FACADE ...

I stuck it in the shed and forgot about it ...
until yesterday ...
while picking up my wholesale order of greens ...
it dawned on me ... what I truly had taken for granted was a diamond in the rough ...

a Nordic diamond in the rough, no less

as fast as you could blink I grabbed a can of snow flocking, and a 25 foot cedar garland
and was on my merry way home.

Home to chip away at the ick-ies ...
the ick-ies that were smothering my Nordic diamond ...

two coats of Dove White later ... here she stands in all of her

Nordic glory ...

I'm please as punch ...

she stands tall and proud herself ...

hoping your Thanksgiving was blessed and memorable ...

from our house to yours ...
wishing you a cozy Christmas season ...
